SID Repaving Update – Tuesday, August 18
The contractor hired by the SID to perform the street repaving and front entrance regrading is a few days behind schedule. They did complete the saw cutting work on the sections to be replaced over the weekend. The current plan is for them to begin the replacing and repaving work this week.
In a change in plans, in order to catch up on time, they now plan to start the front entrance regrading work at the same time. The front entrance closing may now begin as early as Wednesday, August 19.
While the front entrance is closed, both entrances on Cornhusker will remain open for traffic within the SID.

Cheyenne Country Estates Repaving and Front Entrance Regrading
The SID Board of Trustees have approved a project to repave some sections of the streets within the subdivision and to regrade the 168th Street entrance. Some of this work will require temporary street closings.
Beginning on or about August 3rd, work will begin to cut out and replace 12 sections of the interior streets within the subdivision. The work will be performed such that a half of a street might be closed off while the existing cracked concrete is removed and new concrete is poured. All streets will be passable during the work. In addition to concrete removal and repair, some additional cracks on the streets will be sealed. This interior work is expected to take 1.5 to 2 weeks.
Once that work is completed, the 168th Street entrance will be regraded so that water will not pool after a rainstorm or snow melt. This work, which should take one week, will require that the entrance be completely closed to all traffic. The other two entrances, off Cornhusker Highway, will be open. The mailboxes by the 168th Street entrance will remain accessible for the entire project.
The concrete work will be done by NL & L Concrete. The engineers on the project are from Lamp Rynearson.
